About the Project:

Creating meaningful impact through sports and creativity is at the heart of GB-04, one of the most ambitious community initiatives we've embarked on so far. Driven by our existing connection to the inspiring documentary L'Étoile de la Rue, we aim to build a basketball court in Dakar, Senegal. Symbolizing community, ambition, and youth empowerment. This initiative is developed in close partnership with Dakar's renowned Flyingstar Academy, known for supporting young basketball talents and guiding them toward brighter futures.

This project isn't just about sports infrastructure. It extends the storytelling captured in Sethi's powerful documentary, exploring new narratives of determination, creativity, and growth among Senegalese youth. The construction process itself will be documented, potentially evolving into a standalone short film or even a compelling series that highlights sports as a catalyst for empowerment, creativity, and social change.

To successfully execute GB-04, we have opened discussions with Flyingstar Academy to clearly identify the needs, location, and scope of the basketball court project. Simultaneously, we're preparing an integrated fundraising strategy to ensure full realization. This includes leveraging donation opportunities during our upcoming EXP-02 Senegal Experience event, integrating fundraising efforts with existing documentary crowdfunding campaigns, and actively researching international foundations dedicated to community development in Africa. into a series or a separate short focusing on sports, youth empowerment, and creativity in Senegal.
