CC-01 | Creative Camps Europe Series

09/06/2025

About the Project

The CC-01 Creative Camps Europe Series aims to establish a dynamic and collaborative series of intensive creative camps across key European locations—specifically in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain. This project is carefully designed to provide emerging creative talents with immersive, high-impact development opportunities through focused, collaborative sessions tailored to advance their skills, foster cross-cultural exchanges, and stimulate innovative artistic projects.

Participants in the CC-01 series will collaborate closely with fellow artists who have national and international growth potential but have not yet fully broken through. The camps will offer structured support for developing original music, audiovisual productions, content creation, and joint artistic projects.

International Collaboration and Exposure

CC-01 emphasizes meaningful international interactions, connecting talented artists from diverse backgrounds to encourage creative synergy, professional networking, and cultural exchange. Each camp location is strategically chosen to maximize participants' exposure to diverse creative methodologies, techniques, and professional practices prevalent in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain.

These camps will be hosted in specialized studios with accommodation facilities—such as those common in Belgium—or through specially prepared Airbnb locations transformed into temporary creative studios. This setup ensures a comfortable, immersive, and fully equipped creative environment for participants.

Participants will also be supported in producing tangible outputs, such as joint creative projects, recordings, performances, and visual content, enabling each artist to build a robust and diverse professional portfolio.

Current Status

The project is currently in the concept exploration phase. Initial conversations have started with potential venues and cultural partners across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain. Although Dutch Music Export confirmed they cannot directly support this specific series, we have identified the "Groups of Talents" stream at Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (FCP) as a promising route—especially with their updated criteria now allowing international development projects.

To strengthen the structure and credibility of this ambitious series, we are preparing an application at FCP focused specifically on the development of our Creative Camps methodology. This would allow us to formalize the working model behind the camps, build proof of impact, and improve the positioning of the project across funding landscapes. We believe that investing first in the method itself will help guarantee more sustainable and fundable outcomes when rolling out these camps internationally.

As a result, this specific European camp series is temporarily on hold until we complete the development of the methodology and gain clarity on the best way to move forward both logistically and strategically.

What Do We Still Need?

  • Partnership Identification: We continue to seek reliable cultural venues, local partners, and hosting organizations in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain who align with our youth-driven, multidisciplinary development model.
  • Funding and Strategic Partners: While we await discussions with Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (FCP), we are also proactively connecting with alternative partners. This includes our planned attendance at cultural industry events like Primavera in Madrid and Barcelona to meet labels, arts institutions, and funding bodies aligned with our vision.
