CC-01 | Creative Camps Europe Series

18/08/2025

About the Project

The CC-01 Creative Camps Europe Series aims to establish a dynamic and collaborative series of intensive creative camps across key European locations—specifically in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain. This project is carefully designed to provide emerging creative talents with immersive, high-impact development opportunities through focused, collaborative sessions tailored to advance their skills, foster cross-cultural exchanges, and stimulate innovative artistic projects.

Participants in the CC-01 series will collaborate closely with fellow artists who have national and international growth potential but have not yet fully broken through. The camps will offer structured support for developing original music, audiovisual productions, content creation, and joint artistic projects.

International Collaboration and Exposure

CC-01 emphasizes meaningful international interactions, connecting talented artists from diverse backgrounds to encourage creative synergy, professional networking, and cultural exchange. Each camp location is strategically chosen to maximize participants' exposure to diverse creative methodologies, techniques, and professional practices prevalent in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain.

These camps will be hosted in specialized studios with accommodation facilities—such as those common in Belgium—or through specially prepared Airbnb locations transformed into temporary creative studios. This setup ensures a comfortable, immersive, and fully equipped creative environment for participants.

Participants will also be supported in producing tangible outputs, such as joint creative projects, recordings, performances, and visual content, enabling each artist to build a robust and diverse professional portfolio.

Current Status

The European edition of our Creative Camps is currently in the concept exploration phase. We see strong potential for an international rollout, but the right structural support is still needed to move forward.

Dutch Music Export has confirmed that they cannot directly fund or help organize this type of program. As a result, our main funding pathway is through Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (FCP). However, FCP's application streams appear to be closed for now, and it is likely that a realistic opportunity to apply will only come in 2026.

In the meantime, we are exploring collaborations with organizations such as Buma/Stemra and others that already run writers' camps or provide studio facilities. By combining our Creative Camps vision with their infrastructure, we hope to build a stronger foundation for a sustainable European series.

What Do We Still Need?

  • Strategic Partners: Cultural organizations, music bodies, or studio providers who share our vision and can help anchor the camps in practice.

  • Funding Opportunities: Clear access to FCP once their schemes reopen, and possible partnerships with Buma/Stemra or similar organizations.

  • Networking & Visibility: Continued outreach at industry events (such as Primavera in Spain) to connect with relevant labels, arts institutions, and potential funders.
