THE CODES

Living the Standards, Shaping the Future

At We Don't Care Foundation, the Fair Practice Code, Diversity & Inclusion Code, and Governance Code Culture are not just formal requirements, they form the ethical foundation of everything we do. We actively apply these codes across all streams of our work, using them as a living framework to build a stronger, fairer, and more inclusive creative sector.

In the sections below, we explain how each code directly influences our organization, projects, and daily decision-making.
We are committed to staying aligned with these evolving standards and will keep updating our practices, and this page, as new developments arise.

Governance Code

Building Trust Through Transparency and Responsibility

At We Don't Care Foundation, governance isn't just a formality, it's a fundamental value. Through our Events & Fundraising activities, we live the principles of the Governance Code Culture: transparency, accountability, integrity, and true public benefit.

As a non-profit organization built from the ground up, we recognize that good governance means more than ticking boxes. It means being honest about our growth, acknowledging areas for improvement, and actively inviting dialogue and critical feedback. We are committed to continuously strengthening our structure and showing that cultural organizations can be both community-driven and professionally accountable.

We also hold a critical view of how governance is sometimes handled in the wider sector. We believe that governance must be active, transparent, and genuinely aimed at creating value for the public, not just at meeting formal requirements. With every event, every project, and every partnership, we aim to model what open, inclusive, and responsible cultural governance can look like.

Fair Practice Code

Fighting for Fairness in the Creative Sector

At We Don't Care Foundation, the Fair Practice Code isn't just a guideline, it's the core of how we treat people. Through our Talent Development & Methods stream, we work every day to ensure that young creatives are valued, respected, and fairly compensated.

Being a non-profit doesn't excuse underpayment. In fact, it strengthens our commitment to offering better-than-standard compensation. Especially in a sector where young artists too often work under precarious and unhealthy conditions. We recognize the toll unfair practices take on mental, physical, and financial well-being. That's why we build our collaborations on fairness, transparency, and trust.

By living the values of the Fair Practice Code, we aim not only to support individual growth but to push the sector as a whole toward a more sustainable and just future for all creative professionals.

Code Diversion and Inclusion

Championing True Representation in the Creative Sector

At We Don't Care Foundation, diversity and inclusion are not goals, they are the starting points. Through our Creative Projects stream, we work to reshape the cultural landscape by giving space to new voices, untold stories, and overlooked perspectives.

We believe that real creativity thrives where different worlds meet. Whether across cultures, disciplines, or life experiences, we see diversity not as a checkbox, but as a driver of innovation, connection, and collective growth.

At the same time, we recognize that systemic biases, whether based on gender, background, education, or economic status still create barriers. We actively challenge these structures by supporting creators who would otherwise be sidelined, and by holding space for those who are too often pushed to the margins.

By embedding the principles of the Diversity & Inclusion Code into everything we do, we aim to help build a sector where access, opportunity, and respect are not privileges, but norms. Our commitment is ongoing: to question, to learn, and to create the conditions where everyone's voice can truly be heard.
